Election Diary- A Tale of Two Countries


Election Diary-A Tale of Two Countries is a cartoon animation film created by artist Fauzia Minallah. It is about her moments of sadness, joy, amusement, and fear she felt during and after the elections of 2013. While it was one of the bloodiest election with hundreds of party workers losing their lives it also saw participation of thousands of people with so much hope. This is a tribute to the resilient people of Pakistan especially those who participated in this election with clear and present danger. With limited options available they decided with best interest for a better Pakistan. It is a celebration of this moment when one democratic government has been peacefully transferred to the new one.

Fauzia Minallah is an artist and an activist. She was awarded the All Pakistan Newspaper Society Award APNS for the year 1987 for best political cartoonist of Pakistan.
Duration of the film : 20 minutes followed by one hour discussion.
Time: 6.00 p.m till 8.p.m. The film will start at 6.30 sharp.

The viewing will be followed by a discussion.
Chief guests: Veteran classical dancer Indu Mittha and the renowned poet Kishwar Naheed.
Venue: Auditorium of Aqs Art Center at the Arts and Crafts Village, Shakarparian right next to Pak - China Cultural Center, Islamabad

Amai Celebrates Holi in Tharparkar








Amai and her friend Rangoo travelled all the way to Umerkot to celebrate Holi with children. These children belong to the most marginalised community of Hari Hindus who work as bonded labourers. Nearly 800 gifts were distributed among the children. The distribution was organised by Sawant Kumar Bheel the President of Adarsh NGO, in Mirpurkhas as a part of the global peace Camapaingn 'Small Voices for Peace". All the presents were made possible with the prize money recieved by Fauzia Minallah for her work at the Global Junior Challenge in Rome.The distribution was done in three villages of Umerkot, Mandal, Haveli and Rana Jageer.
