Amai and Rangoo in EHD Foundation School

On 14th June Funkor Child Art Center Visited EHD Foundation school. It was a hot and sultry morning, the temperature was 40 Celsius. When we arrived six girls were standing in two rows at the door. They sang “welcome welcome” to us. As always the program started with children singing songs ands nursery rhymes. Fauzia Minallah told children that today she will introduce another cartoon charter called Rangoo, who is a friend of Amai- the bird of light. Rangoo has many colours. She asked children to name all the colours they see in Rangoo, the children enthusiastically identified all seven colours. Then she asked the children “where do you see all these seven colours. Haleema Bibi said “Dhanak”(Rain bow). One of the teacher said Rangoo is so useful in teaching children about colours in such a fun way. In the end we distributed ‘Amai’s environment notebooks’.Children read out the messages.

Amai Celebrates children day in shanty town of Islamabad

On 1st June Funkor Child Art Center team visited a shanty town of Islamabad I-11/1 to celebrate the children day in EHD foundation school.
          The head of EHD  foundation school Mr Fazil Raja , Fauzia Minallah and Amai the bird of light were present to celebrate the children day in shanty town of Islamabad.
          In the beginning the children performed on stage some of them sang  Naats and  the other sangs Nursery rhymes
           Mr Fazil Raja Introduce EHD Foundation school when he started alone many year ago. He started first from thirty students now there are seventeen branches of EHD foundation school in the shanty town of Islamabad. 3000 Children from very poor communities  get free education here .
         
     Ahmed Faraz from Funkor Introduced Amai the bird of light. She distributed note books with messages about health and hygiene.
       Then one by one the children read the messages on the cover.The children enjoyed Amai's company and Mr Fazil Raja thanked funkor Child Art center for organising this colour full and exciting children;s day in the shanty town. Funkor  is grateful to all those school children in Austria who participated in multicolored scarves of exhibition and raised fund for Funkor project.
